Sales Manager

Description: This position will be responsible and accountable for operation and profitability of sales in the Western States of the USA and Canada. Expected results include growth in sales and market share as well as developing talent within the sales area. Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:· Overall responsibility of sales area, including sales, marketing and business management· direct supervision & coaching of sales team: build, manage and motivate sales team by developing each employee to fullest potential· define, prepare, execute, meet & exceed regional sales action plan & target· maintain good working relationships with key accounts· ensure compliance with all legal/licensing issues pertaining to operations· monitors & evaluates activities and products of competitors· demonstrates and is knowledgeable about products to the extend to answer customer questions and present requested referrals· prepare and offer price quotes with estimated delivery dates· coordinate technical service team to ascertain customer needs· have knowledge about warranty details and procedures to support service technicians· Engage in sales calls for new businesses; offer analysis of facility’s waste stream and operations to offer recycling programs· Attend major industry trade shows as required · Travel within the designated sales region as well as occasional travel outside of the country for training, e.g. at headquarters in Germany, tradeshows or work-related events. (Up to 25%). · Achieving monthly and yearly quota requirements · Maintaining up-to-date knowledge base of entire product line · Working closely with inside and outside sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and business accountability · Maintaining an organized and easily accessible filling system (sales leads, prospective business, new business activity, add-on business activity, forecasting, quota details, etc.) via company CRM System
Qualifications· Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in managing and directing sales & operations· Experience in recycling/heavy duty equipment industry highly appreciated.· Hands-on manager, not afraid for tasks outside the prescribed job description· Must have a valid driver’s license · Strong, proven leadership skills· Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment· Professional demeanour both on the phone and in person · Flexibility to work within non-standard business hours to ensure sales· Basic PC knowledge (i.e. Windows, MS Office, E-mail) · Residency within the territory. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are a sales professional who knows their "stuff" when it comes to managing and directing a sales team within the heavy duty machinery/ recycling equipment industry, then we want to hear from you.
